Privacy notice

This notice describes the current Wine Journal app and informational website operated by La'Prea Re'Nae Reserve LLC. The iPhone app is currently in testing.

Information used by the app

Photos and AI label scanning

Photos you select can be used in your wine records or profile. When you choose “Read my label,” selected label images are sent through our Supabase service to OpenAI to generate suggested bottle details. Avoid including faces, personal documents, or other private information in label photos. AI results may be inaccurate; review them before saving.

Apple subscriptions

Apple processes subscription payments through your Apple Account. We do not receive your payment-card details.

The app uses Apple transaction information, including purchase identifiers, the subscription product, and membership status and expiration information, to verify access to paid features and restore purchases. Purchase verification is associated with your journal account and processed through our Supabase backend and Apple’s services.

Storage and service providers

Signed-in journal records and uploaded wine photos are stored using Supabase so they can be retrieved with your account. The device-only preview stores journal information on that device; clearing local app data may remove those local records. Some settings and session information are also stored locally.

Supabase provides authentication, database, storage, and server functions. OpenAI processes images submitted to the AI scanner. These providers may also process technical information to operate and protect their services. Provider retention and processing practices are described in the Supabase privacy policy and OpenAI privacy policy.

Your choices and requests

You can choose whether to upload photos or use AI scanning, edit your journal information, and delete individual saved wine entries.

To delete your account in the app, open Profile & settings → Account → Delete account. Enter your current password, type DELETE, and confirm. This permanently removes your account and its associated journal records, uploaded wine photos, cellar records, and preferences, and clears journal data stored on that device.

Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel your subscription separately through your Apple Account. You can open Apple’s subscription management page to review your subscriptions.

For access, correction, or other privacy requests, email sip@laprearenaereserve.com from the address associated with your account. Do not email passwords or verification codes. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request.

Deleting a local app installation does not itself delete cloud records. Service-provider backups and operational records may have separate retention periods; contact us with questions about a specific deletion request.

Using this website

The informational website does not include account registration, payment collection, a mailing-list form, or site-added advertising and analytics scripts. Our hosting provider may process IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the site. If you email us, your contact details and message are used to respond to your inquiry. External sites, including Instagram, apply their own privacy practices.

Audience and updates

The Wine Journal and this website are intended for adults 21 and older. We will update this notice as app features and data practices change.
